Arrgh! Thought I'd lost it...

Hurray!
I was playing around with my format today, adding new gadgets and removing the word verification from comments when I did something that looked like I had lost my format and template.  Talk about panic! I thought, "oh no... here we go again".  I have lost websites in the past (thru total fault of my own, I'm sure). They have flown off into cyberspace never to be seen again. After days of torment, I usually calm down and start over.  No use dwelling on it... what's done is done, yes? Anyway, I don't know what I did and I don't know how I corrected it (although I did hit 'restore'?), but somehow my blog is still here.  Hurray!

The picture at the top is when my grand daughter who has been taking riding lessons since she was 3, was finally allowed to gallop. Thus, the enthusiastic arm throw (another of my favorite pics).

  1. Oh, I love the pics! All I wanted to do when I was younger was spend my life with horses. I was blessed to have two horse soulmates in my life, both chestnuts mares, actually, and two ponies of my own. I even went to an agricultural college and took a horse care and management program, but life took a different turn after that. It's been a few decades since I've had horses in my life, but they always will be my first love.

I hope your granddaughter always has her love of horses too, no matter what life brings her. :-)

  2. BTW, *THANK YOU* for turning off word verification. It's loathsome, IMO.

    1. I loved horses all my life too, but we lived in the city and the only contact I had was at my cousin's farm in Mississippi or at riding stables. When my daughter was 12,(and we were living in Texas), we got her a little palomino mare, named Cider. Later, when she grew too tall for Cider, we got Smokey, a black Thoroughbred (racing 2 yr old that wasn't cut out for the track). Now my daughter is married and has a daughter of her own... and 3 horses. I guess the love was passed on.

  4. I have an ancient website on the original parchment, and I won't tinker with it for that very reason. It up and blows up, that's what it does. Brrrr.

    1. I do understand. Wonder if there's a 'lost and found' in cyberspace?

    1. Thanks, Olga. I guess a lot of people don't like the word verification. It sometimes takes me multiple tries to get through...

  6. Hi Rian, thanks for visiting. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing visit with our son but missed his wife who didn't come with him this time.
The photo's of your granddaughter are great - cute wee girl on a great big horse :)

    1. Thanks, I just left a comment on your site also. And the photos of grand daughter are some of my favorites... when she was a wee girl. She is now 10... going on 30.

  7. OH so glad, that whatever "happened" (in blogging).... You were able to *Un-happen-it*! -grin-

I know, those "Yikes-what-did-I-do???* moments in blogging, are awful. Just awful. And if one can't get-it-back right away, it's always better for me, to close down and go away and get a night's sleep. :-) 'Cause if I keep trying and trying and trying, I just get more upset and accomplish nothing (good).

    So glad you got-it-all-back.

Thank you so much, for removing the *dreaded* Word Verification Setting here! And no longer making your Dear Readers do that *dreaded* Word Verification. Hooray!

And hooray for not getting mad at me, for telling you about it. :-)

And very, very precious pictures. Our oldest "Granddaughter" used to ride also. She didn't stay with it, but her Mother has done so. :-) Her mother still rides, one evening a week, after work.

    Gentle hugs,

    1. As for the 'word verification', I didn't even know you could take it off. Apparently you can.

  8. And thank you so much, for commenting that you like my little plate (under our one so far ripe tomato).

It's the only set we have. The one we have used daily, for years. It is pretty. :-) I don't appreciate how pretty it is, as much as I should, every day when I eat on them.

But they do make a very pretty picture, for my blog. :-)))))))))

Oh thank you! A posting idea! For all of us bloggers. Pics of little things around our home, which we don't pay enough attention to. :-) Thank you. You do it too, of course. You brought the thought to mind.
