getting old, washing bottles, and funny cats...

Took my first exercise class this semester. It's an emeritus class so everyone is over 50... and the class is not supposed to be too strenuous.  Well, I want to say that it wasn't, not really... but still I was huffin' and puffin'... so I'm guessing that I'm a bit out of shape. It's for an hour and 15 mins over at the college. By the time it was over, I was thinking... OK, I must be getting old as none of this should have been difficult - but it was - a bit.

Unrelated Question: Do any of you out there wash your bottles of bottled water? I've always washed the tops of canned foods before opening the can, yet never thought to wash our bottled water. And I've known that canned goods (as well as bottled goods) stand around in warehouses that probably have rats and other rodents and insects crawling around. After seeing on Facebook a nest of baby mice (or rats) in a plastic wrapped case of bottled water, I thought... OMG, why haven't I realized that?  Anyway, I now wash my bottled water... gallons as well as individual bottles. Just wanted to pass this on.

Caught Ghost and Rose off guard today. Ghost had just sat up from a nap and I stuck my camera in her face. This is what I got:

Really?

and Rose:

What?

Still tired...

and then I found these 2 posters on Pinterest that made me laugh:

and

Have a great week!

  1. All the cats are spot on. Rose is less annoyed than Ghost, that's for sure.

    1. I'm afraid that Ghost has a perpetually annoyed face... sometimes her stages of annoyance are slight, but noticeable.

  2. Laughed out loud at the cat with the slow page turner. Your cat pictures are all fun. Thanks for the grins. :-)

  3. great photos of the cats, I don't wash a thing I open; so far so good, I read somewhere once that if your house is dirty you will be healthy; I should be the healthiest person in the world, lol

    1. Yes, Linda, I've read that too. Once at the college, one of the men poured his snack out directly on the cafeteria tabletop... and when I gave him a napkin to put it on, he said the same - that all the germs should make him healthier. And maybe he's right, but I'm skeptical.

  4. I know exactly how that minion feels! Love the slow reader. And the Ghostly expression.
I never thought about washing bottles. Yikes, I will now.

    1. I never thought about washing bottles before either... but it makes sense now that I think about it. And it may not make any difference, but after seeing that pic, it makes me feel better.

  5. Love the cat pictures. I hardly ever buy bottled water unless we are travelling and it's never occurred to me to wash the bottle.

    1. I carry a small bottle of water with me everywhere. Ever since I had radiation 15 years ago, I have what the doctor calls a 'radiation cough'... so the water helps. And I never thought to wash them before either, but I will now.

  8. Love the photos of Ghost and Rose...sleepy kitties are so cute. I have to say I know exactly how the last kitty feels. I'm pretty sure that happens every night.
