Hi ! Hoppy Easter 2018!

Hi! Hoppy Easter!

I know that I've used this picture before, but it's just too perfect.

We're having a Happy Easter dinner this evening as some will be traveling on Easter day.  We'll have sour cream chicken enchiladas, Mexican rice, salad, and queso and chips... with a flan type creme brulle'  cheesecake for dessert. I also made a custard pie for an extra treat that sometimes serves as breakfast when family is around.

Most are too old for Easter baskets anymore, but since DH still buys tons of candy, we will dole it out in Easter Bags... with an Easter basket for youngest grand daughter.

I also didn't think about an Easter table centerpiece, so I went scrounging through what Easter decor I had that might work. I came up with this... not fresh flowers, but acceptable enough.

And before I forget, a pic of my de-cluttered computer room:

Well, that's it for now. Family should be arriving soon, so I'd better get back to getting things ready.

Have a wonderful safe Happy Easter!

  2. Spending Easter with just the two of us. That is the way it is as family is away.

    1. That's an old rabbit casserole I made years ago... but still functional (and in this case decorative).

  4. Yes, that picture is just too too perfect. Happy Easter to you and yours, Rian. I love your post, and it makes me happy to think of your own celebration with family. :-)

    1. We did have a good early Easter dinner yesterday. The 2 older grandchildren kept the youngest one busy... so the grownups could actually visit and talk a bit. I think she actually wore them out!

  5. Love your centerpiece and the good thing is that they won't die. Sounds like quite a spread for dinner and good that you can celebrate together, if not on the exact day. Together is what counts.

    1. You are right there, Patti. It's a bit hectic on occasion when everyone is there, but still great fun. Since I have very few memories of my grandparents who all died before or when I was very young, I'm hoping these kids will have a few memories to look back on.
