This and that...

I've been looking for puzzles to order online lately. So, while also planning to post a few pics taken recently, I came across this picture that my daughter took of her Great Dane, "Moose" on their porch... and thought that this would actually make a good puzzle.

This one wouldn't be too bad a puzzle either... just one I snapped as I lay on the sofa across from the fireplace.

Then I saw this puzzle somewhere - and DH and I both liked it, but can't find it now...

Update:

My bp problem seems to be doing OK these days. Haven't scheduled the sleep apnea test yet. I have an appointment to see my Oncologist for my annual next week. May go over it all with him and see if he has any input...

New Grandpuppy!

French Bulldog...  2.4 lbs, 8 weeks old

And lastly, I'm curious as to what kind of bee this is. If anyone knows I'd like to find out. They are usually hanging around my front windows.

That's it! I hope you have a good weekend. Thanks for visiting!

Hugs (virtual),
Rian

  1. I think those two photos would make good puzzles. I like the carved table in your photo, holding the books. Cute little pup.

    1. That was my mom's - when intricately carved furniture was popular.

  2. That is the cutest little puppy I've seen in ages! Thank you for sharing him or her with me. No idea about that bee, but it doesn't look very friendly. I'm suffering with the new blogger interface, too.

    1. I'm curious about the bee... know it's not a honeybee, doesn't look like a wasp...

  3. I've no idea about the bee/wasp, whatever it is. Rather homely looking creature!

Oh your little grandpup is so cute! Glad you're not having as many using with your BP.

    Take care and stay well!

    1. Thanks, Mae. My grand daughter just told me the pup's name is Cookie.

  4. There is a program that makes your pictures into a puzzle to solve on the screen. If you're interested, I could find out.

    1. That does sound interesting, Joanne. Don't go to any trouble, but if you do find it, let me know. Perhaps there's one that actually makes real puzzles too... and I could have one made of Moose for my daughter.

  5. Yes, I was going to say that there is some place that will make puzzles out of pictures. I'm almost sure that I have seen it somewhere. Not knowing where is the problem. But I bet if you google it there will be some leads. The great god Google knows all.......

  6. It’s not a hornet is it? Not always a welcome visitor.
Might be an idea to try and catch one then get it identified.
I do hope that poor little pup grows into his head soon:)

    1. I think it could be a wasp... maybe a mud dauber?

  7. Love that picture of the Dane. One of my favorite dogs and would make a splendid puzzle.
That isn't a murder hornet is it? Let's hope not. If it is about 2 inches long I'd have it checked out.

    1. Patti, it's not that big... maybe a little less than an inch.

  8. Your daughter has a nice porch, and you have a nice living room! My wife has taken to doing jigsaw puzzles during our isolation; but they're not for me. I prefer crosswords.

    1. Thanks, Tom. My daughter lives in the hill country and they do have a big country porch. Here it's DH that does the puzzles, but I do help... on occasion.

  9. puppies are so cute, sometimes their heads are too large for their bodies, then their feet are too large for their legs and finally they mature, I have no idea what that insect is, recently we have gotten some swarming ants, had to look that one up, wanted to be sure it wasn't a termite

    1. I know, Linda, she's all head. And as for the insect, think it's a wasp... maybe a mud dauber.

  10. I admire your energy and creativity!
Both of those pictures would make great puzzles.
    The puppy is adorable.
I put the picture of the bee in Google image search but only came up with some sort of "potter wasp" that did not look too much like yours.

LOVE the sweet grandpupy! So precious. And that puzzle with the ship would be one for us. If you ever find it online, please...let me know. And yes, the great Dane is a magnificent dog!!
