It's simple and we've been making it for years. And you just add any fresh fruit you like by putting it in the crust and sprinkling some cinnamon sugar over it before pouring in the custard on top. The fruit will rise to the top while baking. We like it because it's not too sweet... and it is good for breakfast too!
And I think you're smart not to drive in the mountains at night.Rianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09472421271620543536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6076673433792968099.post-58981464584552197862015-06-28T06:28:06.488-07:002015-06-28T06:28:06.488-07:00I know, Kim. So I'm sure that I will get the cataract surgery eventually.
And yes, that was a typing glitch... it was 20 years ago that I got that cup for my 50th birthday, not 50 years ago. I'd be freaked out about it too, but I think technology has advanced so much that it really isn't a big deal anymore.

That pie...I'd have eaten the entire middle by now (i.e. the blueberry custard, not the crust -- lol). My cataracts weren't "bad" enough until they did a night vision test. To quote the doctor, night vision dropped off like a stone. Got them done and now will drive through blinding rain on the darkest night just like a twenty year old. And I did it recently. Well, that's my story. I have one too and the Dr. said that I should just wait till it was really making things difficult and then have it taken care of. The last several years I have been able to ratchet up my vision by upping the prescription in my glasses for that eye but he said that I'd gotten to the point where that would no longer help. So i'm toddling along now and thinking about it too. It's so hard to decide when to take that step when it's really optional----when is it bad enough????? I guess you know when you get there?

I have a friend who had cataract surgery and he said it was really amazing how much better his vision was afterwards. They come on so gradually that you really don't realize how bad your vision is until you get it fixed.vichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18428581552807859803noreply@blogger.com
