Easter in the hill country...

The Bulverde Hillbillies

Happy Easter from the Bulverde Hillbillies!  My daughter is in the process of renovating what was once a barn, then  a bunkhouse, and now a guest house on their property. The kubota was being used to move junk out of the old place to be trashed. We decided that it would make a good hill country pic so we all jumped in. I think it came out better than the formal family shots we took previously as it was done spontaneously.

Here are a few of the others...

The next 2 pics are 7 baby chicks born last week...

It was a beautiful weekend. Couldn't have asked for better weather. I really hope all of you enjoyed your Easter holiday. Now that we're back home, I will be reading everyone's blogs and catching up.

  1. What a lovely Easter you had, in all senses! We did not have good weather, but it was nice to have four days off (Good Friday is a holiday and I took Easter Monday as a vacation day).

    1. 4 days off had to be great regardless of weather. I'm guessing spring hasn't really come yet to your part of Canada...

    1. It was a wonderful weekend, Joanne. We were sorry that all the family couldn't be there, but we'll try again next Easter.

  4. Beautiful family and absolutely gorgeous setting! But I didn't see much in the way of hills. LOL.

    1. The baby chicks are adorable... and were unexpected. Apparently mama chicken found a good hiding place to lay her eggs. She has a coop, but they also have free run of the property.

  6. What a fun time you had and I loved the "hillbilly" shot. Chickens every where, horse, dog and family--not necessarily in that order--what more could you ask for?

    1. Horses, dogs, chickens, family... yes, they did all add to a fun weekend. And the weather cooperated very nicely.
