Happy New Year 2026!
I'm writing this New Year's Eve, but will post it New Year's Day. Wishing you all a happy healthy safe 2026! I have to say that I'll be a bit glad to see 2025 gone... and have no idea what 2026 may bring.
But just want to say that whoever is reading this, know that I appreciate and enjoy sharing life with you through blogging.
We may never meet, yet some of you I consider good friends (who I would miss terribly if you stopped posting).
So please continue to share the good and the bad - the exciting and the everyday - as sharing will augment the good and lessen the bad (IMO anyway).
And send pics (especially of food/animals/plants/nature/yourself)!
That's all I have to say. Closing 2025 and trying to stay optimistic (cautiously) for 2026.
Ending with a few memes and/or pics:
...and had to add this one - just because it made me laugh:
... and this one - just because... I really like it:
Hugs (virtually),
Rian

Happy New Year Rian, you're a dear & honest person, and I'm very glad we're friends! Looking forrward to your posts and comments in 2026, you always make me smile :^)
ReplyDeleteAnd Happy New Year to you, Dug! I'm glad we're friends too. And hoping 2026 will be a good year for all of us... (hoping, praying, and asking the universe to be kind - too much to ask? I hope not.)
DeleteHappy new year to you all! I didn't even bother going to the living room, I went to bed long before midnight! 😆🎇🎉
ReplyDeleteI understand, Kim. We went to bed early - but recorded the ball drop! Wishing you a happy healthy 2026!

Thanks, Jo. Looking forward to your posts too!
DeleteHappy new year. I feel the same about all the wonderful blog friends here. What a nice community. I woke up at 5 minutes to midnight and was glad nobody was firing off fireworks or guns, so I went right back to sleep. May 2026 bring all your most wished for treasures.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Barbara! Something woke me around midnight too... think it was a happy new year text from someone who had stayed up. But I didn't get up and went right back to sleep (although DH said he heard fireworks around then).
Deletei will continue to write, in the same way i have always written. i really enjoy photography, so my posts will always include pictures..usually less words. i enjoyed the memes. wishing you the very best in 2026!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you plan to continue to write and post pics, Debbie. I love reading your posts. Wishing you the best in 2026 also!
Deletei thought of you today when i prepared my post...i knew you would love those plants!!
DeleteHappy New Year Rian. We didn't make it to the lounge either, were both in bed well before midnight. Hoping 2026 is all you wish it to be.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first year that we didn't stay up to watch the ball drop... but enjoyed watching the recording of it in the morning (isn't technology wonderful?) Wishing you a happy healthy safe 2026!
DeleteYou are the best, Rian, I am so glad we are friends, and I don't mind virtual friends, they are always there. Please have a wonderful year ahead, and I will be there right with you. Sending love and virtual hugs back to you.
ReplyDeleteI too am so glad we are friends, DJan... we may never meet, but I feel like I know you and will be glad to experience 2026 along with you. Please continue to blog... even if it becomes necessary to 'talk to type' (or whatever it's called). I have another eye surgery coming up soon... (just wish it would all be over - but it is what it is).
DeleteNice photos! Happy New Year. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda. Happy New Year!
DeleteA little late but I enjoyed this post so much. I love the memes you post and especially like the last two...well that first one touched my heart too. I hope to keep posting and hope to post a little more often. I'm going to email you a copy of my daughter Lynn's Christmas card. It is so cute with all their kitty cats. :)
ReplyDeleteAlways happy to hear from you, Henny. Hope you had a good Christmas and wishing you a happy healthy 2026! Also love seeing pics of your critters... and stories about what they/you are up to.
