new philosophy... stop being afraid

I've decided that even though my mind tells me 'not to hope for a miracle'... I'm going to go with my heart and stop being afraid...  as there is always a chance that things will go right, right? (meaning not wrong - NOT MEANING RIGHT POLITICALLY).

And yes, it's all to do with the elections coming up and the state of the world in general... 

But I'm so tired of thinking that no matter what we do (voting and protesting included), that the money will win out. There has to be a way to overcome this depressing agenda that is being pushed on us. "We, the people" are supposed to be in charge... 

This country needs to take back it's belief in equality and justice for all... not just for those with buckets of money. America is/was a safe place... a sanctuary for the opressed, a place of opportunity and freedom. Yes, we have to be vigilant and have regulations, but we can't lose our humanity and kindness. I want so much for America to be 'kind again' (and for extremists on both sides to take a hike).

I'm fully aware that politics are complicated, but possibly naive enough to believe that good can win out. And if it doesn't, well then, maybe we deserve what we get...

So-oo, I will hope for the best (and be prepared for the worst).
