One of the blogs I read posted this picture and I thought it so adorable that I had to re-post it! The kitten in the far top left reminds me so much of our Ghost when she was a kitten.

And speaking of memories... we lost our beloved Jack this past year. He was only 10 and had fought the good fight with Feline Leukemia for 6 years. He will be forever in our hearts and minds. We wanted to do something in memory of him this Christmas and although we did get an ornament with his picture for our tree... decided to put his picture on our Christmas cards this year. He was such a handsome fellow.

There's something about this time of year, something poignant, that often causes us to take those walks down our own memory lanes. Lots of hugs and purrs as you remember sweet Jack.

ReplyDeleteThat's such a nice idea to have him on your cards. He was such a handsome fella. He will always remain in your heart, Rian. I just love that Ghost. She has such a distinguished look about her. She was also a cutie when little. I love looking back on photos of our cats when they first arrived.

Ghost was the offspring of a feral mom who abandoned her on our back porch. She had 2 other kittens, but took them off with her. Ghost was a bit... slow... and still is *different*, but we love her just the same. She does look like she could have some Russian Blue in her... but who knows?

Love your back yard wanderings, pictures, and stories about your past. Sometimes DH has to ask me who I'm talking about when I mention something one of my blogger friends said or did (but he's getting used to it).
