Working on acceptance...

Can't find the words to put here. Still unsettled, but working on accepting. Trying hard not to think of the scary possibilities...

So I will simply post some memes/posters that say inspiring things:

and...

That's the best I can do for now.

(I did find this... and do find it helps some (may be psychological) but I'll take it)

Hugs (virtual),

Rian

  1. It isn't an easy time for anyone - all we can do is hold one another up and care for those around us.

    1. Yes, it may not be easy, but I'm going to work on being kind... not giving up my beliefs, but not letting anger/sadness take over.

  2. Rian, your few words couldn't have said it better. I like your memes, and I'm very glad we're friends. PS. Interesting about the bay leaves, I'm anxious to try that.

    1. Dug, I find the bay leaf burning interesting... the aroma is nice, and I find it boosters my creativity when sketching or painting. Why? I don't know.

  3. What happened is nothing short of a massive earthquake that has reached many countries even if its epicentre was the US. I'm not American but my own world turned black when the results became apparent. Thus, I share your grief, shock and pain.

    1. Thanks for visiting and commenting, Caitlynne. Few things have really 'rocked my world'... but this has. My trust in the American people and what I 'thought' we (or at least the majority) believed in has been shaken.

  6. So today I feel a little better. The fear of tariffs has spurred my husband on the bathroom remodeling project. We went to the supply store and purchased at least 1/2 of what we need before price increases. We have about 1/4 on order, paid so prices locked in and then 1 more trip for the toilet, sink and cabinet, mirror, and accessories like the grab bars, and faucets. And flooring. So maybe we aren't 1/2 done, more like a 1/3. But the plan is to have it all by the end of November so I am cool.
His last rodeo we were locked in the house with no food in the grocery stores so I am making the list for my pandemic pantry and starting to clear the shelves which filled with other things (I am not sure what things but I will probably be dropping off boxes at Goodwill, lol). That's my plan for tomorrow.

    1. Probably good to have a plan, Miss Merry. Hope I'm over-thinking it, but considering this 'experiment with democracy' may have run it's course. We should know soon enough.

    2. Miss Merry, please make sure your grab bars have etching on them. It makes for true safety when your hands are wet and/or soapy and you need to grab on to them. Usually available at a local medical supply store. Yep, they cost more, but can save your life. Unsure? Just grab a plain, smooth grab bar with a wet hand: pretty useless. Good luck, Linda in Kansas

    1. Thanks for the virtual hugs, DJan. I'm working hard on concentrating on the little joys that make me smile. And trying to find ways to do the same for others. Despite our concerns and fears, I still think life is good.
