Hope all is well with you. It's Friday afternoon and just returned from getting my hair cut. We're meeting friends for dinner tonight and I'm so looking forward to it.
One is my bff since we were 8 years old. We lived on the same block in New Orleans growing up, went to the same grammar school, high school, and college. She was in my wedding and I in her's. Her family was like my family and vice versa. She met her hubby at LSU when we were freshman room-mates there. (which is where DH and I met also). So, we've all known each other for a long time.
However, getting together has been difficult over the years. They moved and we moved and even though we ended up in the same city eventually, we've kept in touch, but get together maybe only 2-3 times a year. Actually, they travel a lot. We don't. But when we do finally get together, it's like no one can stop talking. There's so much to catch up on...
Started this post Friday and now it's Saturday morning. We had a great time yesterday evening. They came by at 5 for a glass of wine before we left for the restaurant. Then we ate at the Wildwood (great food & wonderful service). After we came back to the house for coffee and dessert... and a lot of catch up talk.
Here's a few pics of the place... and some of our meals (since we all seem to love pics of food:

We will be going back!
On another note, I might have mentioned before, but I finally got a new iPhone. It's a 17e and works great. My old one was a SE (which I believe was one of the last 13's with a button on the bottom)... but it was no longer working well.
But what I wanted to say here is that the young man who helped us at T-mobile was so great... patient and kind. We actually had to go back several times and each time he spent time with us, making sure that we got all the rebates, etc. It's unusual these days (sadly so) that you get someone to help you that not only knows what he's doing, but seems happy to help. Anyway, today when we went back to return my old phone, we brought him some of my espresso shortbread cookies to thank him.
OK... that's about my news for today! Have a fun weekend. (LSU is playing Auburn today so DH is pinned to the TV)... think I'll go read for a while. I like to know the score, but can't sit and watch football on TV. 😉
Oh, before I go, I want to show you some pics of my daughter's 'golden bunny' that was born at her place, became a house-hold pet, and now belongs to a co-worker whose little pup has become best friends with the little bunny.
