Reading other bloggers' posts this morning feeds my thoughts with ideas that begin to blossom in my head... (strange wording but it conveys what I'm trying to say...). Sometimes my head is near bursting with stories, ideas, thoughts about life/death, miracle moments, etc. I think that's why I write... to get some of them 'out of my head'... and make room for others.
I have beaucoup old stories, essays, poems, etc. that are lingering in files, old web sites, etc. Sometimes I think that maybe I'll resurrect some here, but then other distractions or new ideas pop up... and like those ominous 'senior moments'... the thought is gone.
So... TODAY... I'm going to start doing just that. I will try to introduce one poem or story or whatever... daily (probably not daily, but I can be optimistic?). And it will be introduced in a way that will make it *optional* should a reader prefer not to read it (some stories are rather long - my sci-fi one for example).I doubt if any of you have been to my other websites, but if you have and have already been confronted with my ramblings, then please forgive me and ignore these efforts. But... as we are inclined to say, it is my blog.
Have a great weekend! ; )
Rian, I sure do believe in magick, fairies, ghosts(I've seen one full bodied apparition when I was about 10) and so much more. In my heart and soul, I am Wiccan/Witch...a lover of Mother Nature, the Moon Goddess, the Sun God, spells, herbs...all for good. My heart and mind work together to help me create who I am. I am Cherokee, Irish and German...so with all of this magick in my heritage and in my heart and soul I just have to be me~~~
ReplyDeleteI will go now to read your story :)
Loved your post on "Do You Believe In Magic", Rian!!! You said so much there that I feel everyday of my life!!!
ReplyDeleteI have all of the Harry Potter books (all hard cover editions), and all of the dvds...I even have Harry's owl...Hedwig!!! Not the real one of course :D
I have really enjoyed reading this part about your feelings. It's nice to know there are others who have these same feelings as I do and I love blogging with them~~~
Jan, glad you enjoyed the post. I have no qualms with spirituality and magic, nor religion and science. It all fits together rather well 'in my world'. But again, for me, it's all very personal and one-on-one.
DeleteI have read all the Harry Potter books, and I believe in magic, too. I read your post and laughed at the interruptions while you folded your laundry! :-)
ReplyDeleteInterruptions, yes. Reminds me of the saying, "Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans..."
DeleteI'm afraid not, Rian, but being a huge fan of the Harry Potter books I wish I did. :-)
ReplyDeletePerpetua, could just be semantics... :)
ReplyDeleteI believe in demons...scary stuff.
