and as I was reading the note on the calendar...
... that last line on the note made me laugh - and I had to share it with DH (who also laughed). And the pic reminded us of some of the outside feral kittens.
outside ferals a few years back |
so I decided to dedicate this post to:
*CATS*
and walked around the house taking pics of our 4!
Tux enjoying a little sun |
Rose bundled up on the bed |
Julie sleeping among her toys |
Ghost sniffing a catnip toy |
Oh for the life of a cat!
Even the outside ones seem to be enjoying the Fall weather...

Well, as the note on the poster said,
"... because without me your life would suck"
(Possibly this is an exaggeration,
but we do get the gist and agree)
Love the pictures! I grew up with cats, we had one for years when the boys were young, but now live cat-less. I do miss the cuddling!
ReplyDeleteTrue, Meryl, I'm not sure "..my life would suck", but I would miss them.
DeleteWhen my brother met my Purrl cat he gave me a paperweight that says "I came, I purred, I conquered." 'Nuf said.
ReplyDeleteYes, nuff said.
DeleteNow those are four spoiled looking cats. :)
ReplyDeleteVery true, Deb (but not sure you should talk...);)
DeleteJoanne's right, that's about how it goes!
ReplyDeleteThe calendar note is great, point well made. :-)
Love all the pics, of course, and especially the first one of the feral IN the ceramic pumpkin! That's priceless.
I know, Kim. We just put out the pumpkin this weekend and DH called me to see when he noticed the black cat had climbed inside.
DeleteThese cats are all so wonderfully delightful. I am now filled with smiles and realize that gosh, my life doesn't suck either! :-)
ReplyDeleteNo, DJan, it definitely does not...
DeleteThe cat in the pumpkin is perfect for Halloween!
ReplyDeleteI know. It would be great if the cat would stay there for the kids when they come by at Halloween... but of course, he won't.
Deletewithout those sweet cats life would truly suck, that little black one hiding in the pot and pumpkin is super.
ReplyDeleteWho can't enjoy kittens... they make you smile.
DeleteAdorable.
ReplyDeleteYes, they are sweet. I think the ones in front have decided that the pumpkin was put out for them.
DeleteI'm smiling at that quote, because as we 'cat people' already know, it's so true :)
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful kitties, and lots of them !
Thank you for giving the feral cats a place to call home and regular care and love.
Hugs,
~Jo
Thanks, Jo. Enjoyed visiting your site also.
DeleteThat note is priceless and kind of true for they really do bring a lot to the table. Loved all your sneak shots--the close up pumpkin one in particular is adorable.
ReplyDeleteSneak shots, dead on! You'd be surprised at how often I show up with a camera to catch a cute pose... and they either get up and leave, turn their backs, or start cleaning their nether regions.
DeleteHi Rian - me, again. Oh my goodness, what a nice surprise. Thank you so much for the beautiful clay fox. I absolutely love it and it has found a home in my step-back cupboard. That was so thoughtful of you. Deb
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome, Deb. I'm so glad it actually got there. It was a small package going all the way to Canada, so I was a little worried.
DeleteYour little fox is in my post today. :)) Audrey wonders why she can't eat it.
DeleteHi! Just wanted to pop by and thank you for coming to my blog. Now I have discovered yours. I love the picture of the little black cat inside the pumpkin. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, Jenn. And I will be back to have 'coffee on the porch with you'...
Deletefound your blog by way of 'just cats' (love that blog) have just read a few of your posts & think i will pop you on my side bar to read regularly too.
ReplyDeletelove your ferals, i was feeding one but he has disappeared now, was so sad. love the mini pearl
thanx for sharing
"Just Cats" is a great blog. And thanks for checking out mine! Our inside cats and outside ferals keep us quite busy. When a feral 'disappears' we can only hope that someone has taken him/her in... and not that anything bad has happened to them. I will be checking out your blog too!
DeleteI have also come to visit from Just Cat's and enjoyed your blog and all your kitties!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda. I just surfed your site and left a few comments. Charlie, Scout, and Tiger are adorable.
DeleteAdorable photos! Our Mom laughed at that black kitten recipe, too.
