visiting box turtle |
This is one of our visiting box turtles. He came by yesterday to eat, but ran very fast when he saw me coming with the camera. Believe me that old wives tale that turtles are 'slow' is NOT true. He is a fast little bugger... but I did get a pic!
I tried the blogger email fix and am waiting to see if it worked. Let me know with a comment if you get notified of this post.
you and I both had box turtles, ha; I only used to get notified of comments via email, so not way of telling about blogs since I read them from my blog list on my sidebar
ReplyDeleteWell, I was not notified of your comment on my email, so I'm guessing the fix didn't work for me.
DeleteHi Rian...I am just catching up on blogs today. I wanted to say that it is kind of your daughter to give that big dog a chance. So many would find his size too much for their life-style and house.I hope it works out for all. Regarding Annie and Wilson, you are right on the mark as far as Annie looking annoyed but she has her good moments, too, so we carry on. He is a young, sweet cat and quite playful but Annie has always been one to play with toys and not another cat. She will wash him and allow him to rest with her but he can't get rambunctious with her. We may get another cat more his age soon.
ReplyDeleteThere is a heat-wave on it's way this weekend with record-breaking high temps. I'm not looking forward to it as there is always so much work outside to do. I think I would melt in Texas. Love to the kitties and hope they are all doing well. Hugs, Deb
Deb, so far the dog has worked out very well. He apparently is very sweet and fits right in with their menagerie. I will get to see him later this month when I go there to visit. Will take more pics! As for Annie and Wilson, Annie may be annoyed, but she will accept him. Another younger cat would take the 'pressure' off Annie, but perhaps not right away? Annie may need the attention (albeit not always wanted) now that Audrey is gone...
DeleteYou can always cheat by sending yourself an email and checking the "notify me" box in the lower right. Then you'll be notified of any comments. It worked for me. You might try it all again, and after you've removed your email address, then restart your computer, then go back in and re-enter your email address. And if you get that email from Blogger, you still have to agree once again. Hope something works for you, Rian. :-)
ReplyDeleteDJan, I think it worked this time. I received your comment in my email! Thanks for all your help.
DeleteI only use email for comment notification. I use my reading list to see new posts. It works for me but too well. Before it ignored my reply comments and now it emails me those too. Not perfect but better.
ReplyDeleteI think that's how it works for me too... and I think it's working now.
