We lost Julie yesterday. May not be blogging for a bit... but will return eventually. With all of the cats we've loved and lost over the years, I can't believe this is so hard... possibly because she went through so much and was such a brave little thing.

This blog is meant to be a documentation of our journey into the world of retirement. I know the title should be "Older, but wiser". However, I really didn't know if that would be accurate. The "Older, but better...?" title could also be misleading. The 5 cats in the above pics are: Molly, Rose, Tux, Julie, and Ghost. (I have tried to make this collage smaller, but with no luck...)
Aww Rian, I am so very sorry. Loss of a loved pet is just brutal. I did so have hope that she would recover and know you did everything in your power to keep her with you and comfortable. You were both lucky to have shared a life together.

Sending you hugs and universal Light...I find that new grief just compounds old grief, because I don't think we ever "get over" the losses in our lives, I think we just adapt and keep going. So sorry to hear about Julie. You've had a hard time with kitties the last few months and that just makes a hard thing even harder. Take care of yourself and remember that she was loved and well taken care of and that's the thing that we wish for all of us.
