Rabbit Rabbit! White Rabbit! |
Hi Everyone! I can't believe it's March 1st 2021. Where has this year gone? In some ways it seems like it's gone on forever... and in others, well... this whole pandemic thing started around this time last year.
This is actually going to be a short post. Someone asked me (Debbie I think) to post a pic of the baby quilt I just mailed to my grand nephew. It took me a while to see if I did have a picture of it. But I did. So here it is - from both sides.

And since I have you here as a captive audience, I will show you one of my favorite table quilts I made and use in the kitchen:

and got mail on the other |
I need to start quilting again as I have the fabric to make 3 more quilts that have been planned for ages... but just haven't gotten around to it... yet.
Closing this with 2 pics my daughter sent recently. One is my grand daughter having a serious conversation with Moose (their Great Dane) who likes to think he's a lap dog.

And the other is one she sent just last night saying, "Penny (cat) is so weird. She came and sat by me just now just like this..." Thought it would be a good close with a laugh!

don't the animals have such personalities; I used to quilt years ago but haven't in a long time but I am a sucker for material, I love all the patterns and colors, yours are lovely; white rabbit to you
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for fabric too... even though I don't sew much. Love to visit the fabric shops and make up combinations. And yes, all critters have their own personalities. I was surprised when I raised birds that they really did too.
DeletePenny's pose is hilarious. :-D
ReplyDeleteThe baby quilt is just too adorable, I love it! I like the table quilt too, but I do love those forest critters.
I'm glad for March's arrival, it means that slowly, SLOWLY, our freezing temps and snow will melt. Well, eventually. :-P
Take care and have a great week.
I know, animals can be so funny. I do miss laughing at some of the things our inside cats would do. But the outside ferals make us laugh too. One may be quiet and shy... while another is so full of beans that he sneaks up and jumps any other cat or kitten that is near.
DeleteI really hope spring comes soon for you!
many thanks for showing the quilt, it was i who asked to see it!! it's beautiful, the mail side is so interesting!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie. I just really liked that 'mail side'... although the blue goes better in my kitchen.
DeleteLove both your quilting projects. I have been getting the quilting itch but I will have to go shop for fabric. I used up scraps like crazy making masks.
ReplyDeleteI did get my first vaccine dose yesterday. It was a drive through, very easy.
I know, Olga. I used most of the scraps I like for face masks too. But I didn't use the pieces I have been saving for 2 quilts. So glad you got your first vaccine!
DeleteBoth the quilts are beautiful! And I laughed out loud at the photo of Penny. It appears she has something very important to say.
ReplyDeleteTake care, stay well.
Thanks, Mae. Penny is a strange one.
DeleteLovely reading tonight. Moose and Penny, quite the team. Lovely quilts, by the way.
ReplyDeleteMoose and Penny are sweethearts... Gizmo (another of my daughter's cats) is the mischievous one.
DeleteLove the quilts, especially the forest animal side. Shots of Moose always make me want another Dane and Penny cracked me up. Priceless.
ReplyDeleteThe forest animal side of the quilt is sweet. I like it too. All my daughter's animals were rescued and brought home (well, Moose was given to her from a family that was moving out of the country... but he was happily taken in)
DeleteI get my first jab today! It's like going to a party, I'm filled with happiness to get it. And I too love your beautiful quilts. I've never had the urge to sew for fun like that. :-)
ReplyDeleteSo happy you're getting your first vaccine today!! Although I've only had my first so far, it has made me a bit less anxious. And as for the quilts - I'm no seamstress, but putting together the fabrics and sewing quilts is kind of fun (and can be a bit creative).
DeleteThose quilts are works of art!!! Truly.
ReplyDeleteAnd Moose and Penny are so sweet.
(PS...glad you agree Gov. "A" is a card short of a full deck.)
Thanks, Anni. And I don't understand how people can't see that we're only asking for trouble by opening 100% and removing the mask mandate. Open 100% OK... maybe, but keep the mask mandate. It only takes a few hard headed individuals to ruin it for the rest of us.
