This blog is meant to be a documentation of our journey into the world of retirement. I know the title should be "Older, but wiser". However, I really didn't know if that would be accurate. The "Older, but better...?" title could also be misleading. The 5 cats in the above pics are: Molly, Rose, Tux, Julie, and Ghost. (I have tried to make this collage smaller, but with no luck...)

Cutest picture ever...
I had to post this photo that I took off a blog I visited a while back. Can't remember the name or I would link to it. But isn't this the cutest thing you've ever seen? They are baby bunnies in a tumbler. (If anyone out there remembers where they have seen this, let me know and I will give that blog its credit.)
I probably should have posted this on one of my other blogs that have more to do with animals and/or photos, but alas, I did it here and am too lazy to go back and do it elsewhere. Maybe I can link it some way to "Older... but better?" Let's see, eventually these little guys will be older but better bunnies (but not as cute). Hey, that works for us retirees too, don't you think?
That's the best I can do today for a post. I've already been: up since 7 am, to Yoga class, run errands, made chicken enchiladas for supper, and am about to pick up grandson from school in a few minutes. So I'm about 'done' (or 'done in') for the day. After that, it'll be home, serve supper, clean up, and pass out while trying to watch the shows I missed last night (Revolution and Castle). Not exactly exciting, but definitely busy.

Yes they are definitely CUTE! Glad you told me what they are as it's not exactly obvious. Coulda been fuzzy little rats for all I know... :-)
ReplyDeleteI guess it's not obvious that they're bunnies. But you know, even if they were fuzzy little rats, I'd think they were cute!
DeleteThey look so cuddly squeezing into the glass. I showed my wife. "Oh, aren't they the cutest things you've ever seen?" She said.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Rian.
You are welcome, John.
DeleteIt's hard to keep up with just one blog, never mind the few you have. I've got only 2 public ones, the Fuzzy Tales and my personal one. So I can understand your feeling "lazy." :-)
ReplyDeleteI've been up since about 3:45AM, per usual, so I'll cheer the day I can get up at 7AM, if it ever happens. :-p
Oh, it will happen. But you're young, so it may be a while. I have to admit that when I worked, I got up at 5am... but never 3:45 (that's the middle of the night?).
DeleteOH wow, they are bunnies! I didn't know, till you told us. :-))))
ReplyDeleteYou certainly lead a busy life my Dear. Retired or not. Don't forget to make time out, for your own rest, please. Please... :-)
"Auntie"
Oh, I love to nap! It's one of my favorite things about being retired. But... it doesn't 'always' fit into the day.
DeleteOMYGOSH, this is the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life. Just adorable...
ReplyDeleteIsn't it though?
DeleteThe Bunnies are beyond adorable...I love bunny's at any age. You do circles around me friend with the activities of your day. I admire that you keep up such a busy pace.
ReplyDeleteSome times I think we're busier retired than we were when working... if that's possible. But now we can actually schedule our own 'time off' when and if needed.
DeleteI have to be honest ...I am not sure whether the bunnies in a glass are cute or weird !!! lol
ReplyDeleteRe your cat comment ...I know exactly where you are comming from. My neighbour gives me a beautiful bouquet each Xmas and I have to house it in the sink in the down stairs loo other wise I would have stalks and a few dead cats as he always includes Lilies in it and I hate the thought of throwing it away !!!!
I know. When my husband gives me flowers for our Anniversary, I have to hide them in the bathroom.
Deletere the recipe ...the sponge aka cake batter is the topping(sugar marg etc bit)...it is not as light as what I imagine your Angel cake to be, as I have never had that ....more like a slightly heavy cup cake!!! or a firm Victoria Sponge if that makes any sense at all ...how different baking is in your neck of the woods.lol xx
