This blog is meant to be a documentation of our journey into the world of retirement. I know the title should be "Older, but wiser". However, I really didn't know if that would be accurate. The "Older, but better...?" title could also be misleading. The 5 cats in the above pics are: Molly, Rose, Tux, Julie, and Ghost. (I have tried to make this collage smaller, but with no luck...)

Tornado update
Update on Dec. 26th tornado;
News says area had total of 9 tornadoes, but the one that caused the most damage was EF3/4 that came through Sunnyvale, Garland, and Rowlett. Number of Fatalities is still 11, although about 18 are still unaccounted for. Most deaths were in their cars on the road when tornado hit... and number of houses affected are about 600.
Friend of my youngest son (who lives several blocks away) lost their home. He said that he and his wife and kids were sheltering in their bathtub as the tornado hit. They survived, but they're house didn't.
And news was showing rescued dogs found in the rubble this evening.
That's about my update. Fighting a migraine today due to too much stress going on these last few weeks, but wanted to update yesterday's blog.

Oh, how terrible. Lives lost...so sad. I can't imagine what they are going through having lost their homes. :(
ReplyDeleteIt's been a terrible several days, your way. Hoping for the best for everyone.
ReplyDeleteJust awful, I see the devastation on the news, but I think that unless you experience it, you can't really grasp it, it's so enormous. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and all those affected. Purrs from Nicki and Derry.
ReplyDeleteThat's a terrible loss, both the lives which can never be replaced, and the huge number of homes. Very sad. I would have a migraine if I lived there, too. :-(
