It's been a strange week... feeling better, but jaw still hurting - Tylenol X-tra strength helps. If it's TMJ, I'm not wearing a mouth piece and I'm not taking meds - so I guess I have to add it to another of age's inconveniences (at least for now). Eating soft foods and being very careful when I sneeze or yawn helps.
I have been working on some new clay pieces. Click here if you'd like to see them or just go to my Cheeky Chickens Studio (should be listed over to the right under "New Blog").
Have a wonderful weekend!
I feel for you with the jaw ache. I finally got my toot out last Thursday and everything went well but where the injections went in have made my jaw stiff, its taking time to go away but each day is a little better. I wear a small denture and cannot wear it at the moment and like you again am having to eat soft food. I'm sure when this is over there will be another annoyance to step in its place, lol

So sorry about your tooth, but hopefully, it will all heal well. I've been eating soft food for over 2 weeks now. It hasn't gotten any worse, but the soreness is still there.I keep hoping that I will wake up one morning and it will be gone...? And you are right, these little inconveniences will continue to happen. We just have to endure (with a smile if possible).
DeleteAsk your dentist about an aqualizer splint. They are practically paper thin, don't interfere with the ability to talk, and really seem to work well. http://www.aqualizer.com
ReplyDeleteI don't know what that is, Olga. But I will check it out. Thanks.
DeleteHope that jaw ache gets better soon. I hope you too have a great weekend. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, DJan. The pics on your last hike were really wonderful. Great shot of Mount Baker. And the place where you stopped for lunch was beautiful. I virtually hike with you... (enlarge your pics and imagine that I'm there too).
DeleteHope you can find an answer for that jaw pain. I wouldn't quit till I found relief. Maybe what Olga suggested??
ReplyDeleteI am going to check into that. But it has gotten a little better... seems a tiny bit better each day. But I went out to lunch with some friends yesterday and just drank tea... didn't want to aggravate it as we were heading for a quilt show. BTW, my friend took the blue ribbon - first place in her category!
DeleteI've just looked up TMJ. It sounds painful. Sure hope it goes away soon. I enjoyed seeing your new blog and the cheeky chickens. Your creations are so cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for visiting the new blog. It won't be too different from this one, just more pottery pics.
