This blog is meant to be a documentation of our journey into the world of retirement. I know the title should be "Older, but wiser". However, I really didn't know if that would be accurate. The "Older, but better...?" title could also be misleading. The 5 cats in the above pics are: Molly, Rose, Tux, Julie, and Ghost. (I have tried to make this collage smaller, but with no luck...)
Apparently it's an old English/Welsh custom... supposed to bring good luck. And I too hope March brings some 'spring' weather... although they are saying we're due to go down into the 20's this weekend. Try to stay warm!
Yes, well... I forget too. Think you're actually supposed to say it outloud when you first wake up. But nobody seems to know the real origin... although if you google it, there are some possibilities.
white rabbit, is your stove gas ?
ReplyDeleteYes, it's an AGA and ours is gas.
DeleteAre you supposed to say, "White rabbit, white rabbit?" Does that bring luck? Fertility? LOL. (Which I'm presumably well past, thank you very much!)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, happy March 1st. February can kiss my you-know-what goodbye!

Cute bunny butt! Happy March and glad to see your pretty pumpkin towels. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, DJan. I do love the towels and the pumpkin goes well with the terracotta tile!
DeleteRabbit, rabbit but I always forget. No good luck for me.
