Rabbit! Rabbit! White Rabbit!
(I remembered this morning...)
So I'm posting White Rabbit
and
Dark Chocolate pie!
Perfect with a cup of black coffee...
(...the pie, not the rabbit)
Hugs (virtual),
Rian
This blog is meant to be a documentation of our journey into the world of retirement. I know the title should be "Older, but wiser". However, I really didn't know if that would be accurate. The "Older, but better...?" title could also be misleading. The 5 cats in the above pics are: Molly, Rose, Tux, Julie, and Ghost. (I have tried to make this collage smaller, but with no luck...)
Isn't that a rabbit on top of that slice of pie Rian? :^) This looks so good I can't stand it--I'm buying the ingredients to make my own chocolate pie on my next shopping trip!
ReplyDeleteDug, I had to go back and look at my pie slice... and that DOES look kind of like a rabbit (ha!). But if you like dark chocolate, this recipe is a good one... easy to make and delicious. I'll post it later this week.
DeleteI forgot about that superstition of saying that phrase on the first of the month. Thanks for reminding me and I just said it out loud myself! Boy does that chocolate pie look good. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's a real dark chocolate pie made with unsweetened chocolate... not like those pies that just taste like milk chocolate pudding in a pie filling. We really like it here.
DeleteGosh, that pie looks so good. *Wistful sigh*
ReplyDeleteHappy February 1st!
Thanks, Kim. Happy February to you also!!
DeleteMMMMmm. That pie looks SO good.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great recipe... and easy... if you like dark chocolate.
DeleteGosh, you reminded me of what I forget to do the beginning of each and every month. Might need to put a reminder on my calendar on the last day of the month. I rarely have bad fortune but good would be nice. Next month for sure:)) Pie really looks good.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a superstitious person, but saying white rabbit or rabbit! rabbit! on the first of the month can't hurt... kind of like watching the ground hog tell us if we're going to get 6 more weeks of winter.
DeleteBoth sweet, and that chocolate pie looks so good.
ReplyDeleteThanks, pie was good!
DeleteOh, yes. White rabbit. I never remember that! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteI don't always remember either... but this time I did.
DeleteWhite rabbit to you, too.
ReplyDeleteAnd to you, Joanne.
DeleteWell, that is the cutest white rabbit I've ever seen. I need to read about that saying and what it means. That pie looks delicious! Didn't need to see it as I woke up this morning determined to lose this roll I have gained around my waist. :)
ReplyDeleteThe bunny is cute, isn't he? And I know what you mean... about the roll that I've also begun to get around the waist. But I attribute it more to a year without enough proper exercise.
Deletedrooling here, that looks so good!! and your china is pretty also!!
ReplyDeleteThat saucer is Poppy Trail by Metlox. I love china and am very eclectic in what I have. I have several cups and saucers and tea/luncheon sets of different patterns. Love using them for my tea and/or dessert!
