a great truth in my book |
This is one of the first quotes I came across
when checking out Robert Brault from Arkansas Patti's blog...
and I thought,
"Wow! now that's appropriate for the times!"
Today when no one seems to know what is true anymore...
we should at least know
what is kind.
... and this next one I came across made me laugh
It's for all of you out there that may be dieting
(something to think about).
interesting idea... |

DH and I get our Flu shots today!
(...hoping to have no more than a sore arm)

I have to tell a short story... just because it's about kindness. We pick up our curb side groceries once a week from Central Market (which is a part of Heb groceries). The people who run this curb side pickup are so nice. They not only bring your groceries out, but ask you if you forgot anything... as they will run back inside and get it for you.
Today we had ordered a stuffed chicken breast with bacon and cheddar. They weren't able to fill that... but offered us a stuffed chicken breast with apple, cranberry, and pecan instead (which was nice enough to do and we said that would be fine).
But then after the associate went to get that and was putting it in our trunk, she added that if we didn't like this particular stuffed chicken breast, to just call and they'd credit it... now THAT is kind (however I'm sure we will like it).

Now for some funny cat posters:
(...cause we need to laugh)
I remember this happening... |
or matching anything during the pandemic... |
That's it for today!
Hope you're having a good week.
Thanks for sharing my Wednesday!
Hugs (virtual),
Rian
Rian you're such a nice person, I really enjoyed this. And replacing your litter box with an Amazon box busted me up!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch an 'interesting' idea with the Amazon box... isn't it, Dug?
DeleteI bend the truth quite a bit with my kids. If asked an opinion I sometimes soften my answer a little bit to fit what they want, I love them too much to hurt them with a straight answer.
ReplyDeleteI love the cat quotes especially the cat vomiting, I can vouch for that, it's a horrible noise but I'm always glad they've got it up after having trouble with Rupert's fur balls.

That cat vomiting quote is spot on... when we had cats, this happened a lot in the middle of the night... and I didn't know I could move that fast.
DeleteLOVE the cat funnies. The first is sadly very true here.
ReplyDeleteAnd hooray for kindness. We ALL need it.
Thanks for this post, which is a great way to gird my loins for what I suspect will be a busy and stressful day.
Yes, hurray for kindness, EC!
DeleteSo glad you enjoyed Robert. That was a favorite of mine also. I am really thinking about the litter in an Amazon box:) Brilliant.
ReplyDeleteYes, I really enjoyed Robert, Patti. I plan to go back and read some more.
Deletebeing kind makes such a difference in all that we do...and when we receive it, it rocks our world!! but it should be this way, why are we surprised when it is?!?! i hope you enjoy your chicken breast, it sounds good!!
ReplyDeletei bend the truth to be kind. to my mother i told her that i loved her shirt, i didn't really like it but i knew saying that would make her happy!!
"...but it should be this way, why are we surprised when it is?!?!" I don't know, Debbie... but we certainly were surprised at her kindness this morning. As for the chicken breast, I'm sure it will be delicious!
DeleteKindness is definitely in short supply these days or maybe impatience is at a high level.
ReplyDeleteLove the cat memes, especially the amazon box for the cat litter. That might make my life a little easier. :)
Maybe we need to push this 'kindness' thing... perhaps if it gets going, it'll overcome all this ugliness going on with politics and the vaccination issue.
DeleteLove the Amazon box!
ReplyDeleteYes!
DeleteI agree that being kind is the best way to experience others. I love this post and always look forward to your own brand of kindness, with cats always. Sending you hugs and appreciation for the giggles. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, DJan. Let's keep pushing the kindness issue... maybe it'll become a much needed trend. Sending you hugs back!
DeleteLOVE the litter box!!
ReplyDeleteHEBs is the best!!
And, I went out to his site too, from Patti's blog...he's a genius.
