Frustrated...

Just want to let everyone out there know that since my reading list no longer works and Blogger doesn't seem to be able to respond or fix it... I may be moving on to another place to blog.

So, if you no longer see my posts, you will know why.  I have to write, and I would like to be able to read other people's posts (especially those I consider my online friends) ... but if that is no longer an option, I fear I have no choice. If anyone has any advice, I'd love to hear it.

Outside of those comments, I'm going to post 2 pics here. One is my granddaughter getting her red belt in tai quan dao.

and the other is Moose, my daughter's Great Dane enjoying his new bed...

That's it....  pretty frustrated today.

Hugs, (virtual)

Rian

  1. Please try The Old Reader. It works for me, and I get posts daily from the subscription feed I have there. It works with Blogger and WordPress blogs.

  2. If you leave Blogger, put your new link on this blog so we can follow you. Would hate to see you go and hope someone has an answer.
Congrats on the red belt and always love to see a Dane.

    1. Thanks, Patti. I will try to do that... and btw, DH says I said that wrong. Granddaughter got her red stripe on her white belt, not her red belt (shows how much I know).

  3. What does blogger say about the reason the reading list doesn't work.

  4. Rian it seems that in the past 18 months or so we've been losing different parts of Blogger's functionality. (I used to have 10-12 banners for the top of my blog, now if I try to change the current one, it doesn't work and blacks out titles & dates on my posts.) Anyway--this past Saturday I have another Blogspot blogger who's been aware of these changes and sometimes offering workarounds. He says that Google (which owns Blogger) is trying to make this site "self-contained", with no 3rd party connections. Maybe you could write & ask him about your hyperlink widget. Here is the web address of his blog: https://too-clever-by-half.blogspot.com/

    1. Thanks, Dug. I will check it out. I'd hate to leave, but don't know why it's happening or how to fix it... and no one (google or blogger) is responding to my messages. But I will also check out Old Reader and Feedly... as other bloggers have recommended.

  6. I use Feedly to follow blogs, have done for years now. The reading list gave me issues some years back, long before their recent changes.

I hope that if you switch blogging platforms you'll let us know where to find you!

  7. What a shame - hopefully Blogger gets on the ball and gets back to you. But if you do end blogging elsewhere, I hope you'll share your new url.

    Congrats to your granddaughter!

  8. I'm so sorry about your reading list. Sure hope you get it back. Congratulations to you granddaughter on getting her red belt. She is adorable. Such long pigtails, and they are so cute.

    1. Henny, I wish I knew what to do to get it back... or who to contact besides the blogger people.

  9. Congratulations on your daughter getting her red belt! She looks so cute and happy in the picture.

Give the Blogger reading list another day or two. Mine was not working for a few days, not sure how many, but reappeared again this morning. I hope yours will reappear again.
